The novelist Thomas Wolfe once wrote, “You Can’t Go Home Again.” For me, I never left. I have always known this is the place to live happily with my family, find purpose among the community and pursue my dreams.
I am proud to be a son of Six Nations of the Grand River, the First Nations jewel whose very name means community, cooperation and peace. I was born and raised here, and learned values and lessons that have never failed me in business nor in life.
Over the years, whenever I have seen a need in the community, I have tried to fill it. After founding a string of local businesses, from confectionery stores and a fueling station to the world-famous Burger Barn, I saw the need for a hometown-based construction company that would focus on residential and commercial projects in Six Nations. Today, across the territory, magnificent structures stand as a monument to the creation of that business, Ace1 Construction.
Ace1 Construction is focused on providing quality, affordable homes for residents and state-of-the-art commercial developments for businesses. Our company slogan tells the story: “Together We Build.” We are devoted to improving the quality of life for the hardworking people of Six Nations. We attract and recycle capital back into the community, creating new opportunities and contributing to Six Nations’ economic renaissance.
Six Nations is based on the history and traditions of the Iroquois nations. Beyond our people’s many achievements across the generations, the Iroquois nations have excelled in practical, innovative building designs. The Iroquois are often referred to as the Haudenosaunee, which literally translates as: “They build houses.” As the founder Ace1 Construction, I take pride in that special cultural inheritance — I am so fortunate to be able to carry this great tradition forward.
At Ace1 Construction, our goal is to ensure that all projects are completed efficiently, effectively — and flawlessly. We work with clients from project planning stage to execution of the blueprint, in accordance with each customer’s budget, preferences and time. We pledge that the quality of our craftsmanship will meet or exceed all industry and regulatory practices.
